What is this course about?
This course provides instruction on animal husbandry topics related to small animals that are served by a veterinarian. Content related to the breeding, grooming, care, and marketing of animals that fit into this category will be covered through this course. Opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience will be included in the course and reinforced through work-based learning and leadership experiences.

Course Requirements:
1. Students are required to complete a honors portfolio. This portfolio will be a combination of notes, assignments, and projects. Some will be online and others will be paper and pencil. 2. Students are required to fulfill animal chores at the beginning of each class. Theses chores include feeding, providing fresh water, and cleaning cages. 3. Students are given the opportunity to "adopt" an animal from the classroom during school breaks (Christmas Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break) |
