Creating your Google Folder:
1. Go to your school e-mail account. 2. Go to your Google Drive. 3. Click "New Folder" - The name of your folder should be your name followed by "ANS2Small" - Example: Sarah Smith ANS2Small 4. Follow the tutorial in the bottom right corner 5. Share your google drive folder with me ([email protected]) 6. You will create a new document for your portfolio assignments. 7. You will use the composition notebook provided to you for breeds, diseases, and parasites. Breed/Disease/Parasite Notebook:
Use the composition book provided for you to complete this assignment.
Throughout this course, we will go through many breeds, diseases, and parasites that are important to know when working in the small animal industry. Use the guidelines below to set up your composition notebook and complete the assignment successfully. Set-Up Use the first TWO pages in your notebook for a table of contents. Breeds: Include the species, name, common medical issues, history of the breed, life expectancy, and any other facts or information available on the notes PowerPoint or that you have researched. Make sure to include a picture. Pictures can be printed during class using the library's technology. Diseases: Include the name, any scientific names applicable, breed/species susceptible, zoonotic?, treatment (if any), and symptoms. Parasites: include common name, scientific name (where applicable), signs & symptoms, life cycle, treatment, and hosts. Pictures are required for this section as well, can be printed at the library.

Major Project:
1 - The first week of class, you will choose a small animal species and/or breed from the course list. 2- You will create a profile for that animal and create a "How-To" guide for caring for that animal. 3- You can choose your format. (Website, PowerPoint, YouTube Video, etc.) 4- You MUST include the following: a. History (How did it get here?) b. Characteristics (How do I identify?) c.
